72. PEEL OFF Starting formation - One couple following another, box circulate or Z formation. Each lead dancer turns away from the center of the starting formation, walks in a semi-circle and steps forward to become an end dancer of the new line. Meanwhile, each trailing dancer steps forward and does a U turn back, turning away from the center of the starting formation to become the center dancer of the new line. From one couple following another, the ending formation is a line of four; from a Z, the ending formation is a two-faced line; from a box circulate, dancers may have to take one step forward to adjust to a two-faced line.

The caller should place the dancers in a Completed Double Pass Thru formation. Explain to the lead dancers that they are to do a U turn back. But they must turn away from the one next to them. It is helpful if they will think of their outside foot as being the pivot foot. For timing, it does not hurt if they take a small step forward then make their turn, then a small step forward. This will aid in their semi-circle movement.

The Trailing dancer will take a small step forward, then does a U turn back almost in place. BUT they should be reminded to turn away from the person next to them or away from the center of the formation.

From a Z formation (Heads Square Thru, Swing Thru, Girls Fold will give a Z formation) the teach and dancer action is the same.

From a Box Circulate, the dancers should be told that they will split the Wave and work in their own foursome. The dancers will have to adjust to form a Tidal Two Faced Line. Because this is a four dancer call, it can be done from a Column which will end in a Two Face
Line. It can be called from a Double Pass Thru which will end in Back to Back Lines.
