67. ACEY DEUCEY Starting formation - Parallel waves, two-faced lines or any formation where all the centers can trade, and the ends can Circulate and not become centers. Ends Circulate while the centers Trade.

The usual beginning formation to teach this call is from parallel, so called normal with girls in the center, waves. This formation should be walked through, then the caller should have the dancers Swing Thru from normal waves. Now each sex have been able to trade with each other and the each sex has found the route for the circulate. After showing the call from waves, one should put the dancers in Two faced lines and repeat the teach making sure that all dancers do the trading part as well as the circulating part. Then the dancers should repeat the above formations where mixed sex are in the center and ends. While this call can be used from other formations, it is believed that those formations would be considered Extended Applications (such as facing lines or back to back lines) and should not be used at the initial learning sessions. While this call can be directionally called most of the time, the enjoyment will come with the creative usage.
